Ouch

This morning was really awesome until I got in a car accident. Thankfully it was after I dropped Ender at school. Poor SRD was with me though and ended up shaking like a leaf on the floor in the back seat of the car for the entire process of police and tow trucks but was her old self once we got the car home and she hopped out and into the back yard.

I was t-boned in an intersection, luckily neither vehicle going very fast so basically it crunched in the two doors on the driver side of our little Mazda.

Tonight I am pretty sore in my left shoulder but that's really the only pain other than a little abdomen/rib soreness.  My super talented chiropractor is getting me in tomorrow morning for a full assessment. I know she's going to take great care of me. There is nothing a traditional doctor can really do for me except hand me painkillers and I'd really rather not be looped on T3's or Vicodin while alone all week with Ender. Or at all, really.

And this one time that R dropped the ball (on getting my Murano into the shop for repairs after a TREE FELL ON IT) meant that at least I have the Murano to use this week while R is away in Seattle again. Let's hope it doesn't go to his head.

I'm going to be optimistic and keep telling myself that things are going to get better! Right? They are, right? For some reason I can't help thinking that this was God's way of telling me to sit down, take a breath and just frickin' relax and take care of myself for a bit. Or else he was giving me a big middle finger for that Michele Bachman joke the other day. Either/or.

We also decided that R is never allowed to go to Seattle again because twice now one of our cars has been damaged on the day he flies out. There is some bad mojo there!

Here's hoping that after all our hard work with the sexy times this weekend my body doesn't decide that a little thing like a car accident and shock was enough to scrap any plans at conceiving. Keep your fingers crossed for us please!

Hey Tracy,

First of all, ouch! Hope no complications ensue. Second of all, I don't know if you go for this sort of thing, but I mentioned you for a Versatile Bloggers Award. http://surlymuse.com/its-versatile-its-a-blogger-its-a-versatile-blogger-award/ Thanks for sharing your great blog. Cheers.

Thanks Daniel! I have a sunshine one to respond to as well. Maybe I'll do a mix 'n' match post!

Thanks so much for thinking of me :)

I'm having some bizarre memory loss still from the accident but got a good workup by the chiropractor this morning. And the seatbelt bruise is pretty sexy. Makes me look like I've been fighting hard in the zombie apocalypse or something.
